How should I cook the pie for best results?
For perfectly crisp pastry and a piping hot filling, bake the pies in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan) for 25–30 minutes from chilled. If cooking from frozen, allow 35–40 minutes. Always check the centre is hot before serving.
Can I microwave these pies if I’m short on time?
While oven baking is recommended for the best texture, the pies can be microwaved as a quicker option. Place on a microwave-safe plate and heat on full power for 3–4 minutes (from chilled), then let it stand for 1 minute. Note that the pastry may be softer than when oven-baked.
