Owtons wholesale & catering butchers currently serve over 1100 customers across a diverse range of foodservice sectors including Butchers shops, a Premiership Football Club, Pubs & Bars, Casual Dining, Hotels, Hospitals, Care Homes, Travel & Leisure and Contract Catering, including over 200 Fuller’s houses.
We also supply some of the best award winning restaurants in and around Southern England, London and the Midlands.
We specialise in locally sourced meat, working with over 40 farmers within Hampshire & Dorset, we also raise our own beef on Chalcroft Farm.
The business is continually investing in order to serve our expanding client base, including, currently, a bespoke software management & stock system, new additions to the delivery fleet of 28 refrigerated vans and in the very near future a new 22000 square foot factory, bespoke designed to our own specifications.
Our specialised production facilities make over 12 tons of award winning sausages, black puddings & faggots every week.
In 2016 we produced over 2 million burgers, with our machine capable of producing 250 burgers per minute. For bulk orders (min. 25kg batch) we are able to produce burgers & sausages to your own recipe.
Our catering department hand cut approximately 1000 steaks every day, trim over 4 tons of pork bellies & loins for our own dry cured bacon production every week.
Our butchery department has over 1000 years combined experience within the team & every week they will process over 18 tons of Beef, Lamb & Pork carcasses.
