Pan-fry or grill for 4 to 5 minutes on each side until golden and the internal temperature reaches 70°C. Let it rest for a minute or two before serving to keep it juicy and tender.
Try it with chunky chips, garden peas, and a fried egg or grilled pineapple for a proper pub-style plate at home.

Wondering What To Do With An Unsmoked Gammon Steak?
Unsmoked gammon steaks can be pan-fried, grilled, or baked. For pan-frying, cook over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Rest briefly before serving to enhance tenderness.
Unsmoked gammon has a more subtle, natural pork flavour without the strong, smoky notes of smoked gammon. This makes it ideal for pairing with sweeter sauces or fruit-based accompaniments like pineapple or apple.
Our unsmoked gammon steak is raw and must be fully cooked before eating. Always ensure the internal temperature reaches 75°C and the meat is no longer pink in the centre.
