What Our Customers Think

Big, Bold, Beefy Ribs!
At Owton’s, we believe quality beef ribs make all the difference, and our expertly butchered cuts are in a league of their own.
Butcher’s tip! For tender, flavourful beef ribs, season them well and cook low and slow – ideally for several hours. Baste with a bit of sauce in the final stages for a sticky finish, and let them rest before serving to lock in all the juices. Want more information on beef ribs? See our dedicated beef cuts guide!
Owton’s delivers across England, Scotland and Wales, using our own refrigerated vans for local areas and DPD for nationwide orders. With next-day delivery available (subject to availability) and chilled packaging as standard, there’s never been a better time to order your beef ribs online.

Frequently Asked Questions
Below, you’ll find cooking advice and recommendations, including how to cook and store your beef ribs. For more information about ordering and delivery, please see our dedicated FAQs page.
Owton’s beef short ribs are richly marbled and bone-in, which gives excellent flavour and succulence. Slow cooking breaks down connective tissue, resulting in melt-in-the-mouth texture. When barbecued or smoked low and slow, the ribs develop deep, beefy taste and a rich crust that complements the natural juices.
First sear the ribs on all sides to lock in flavour. Then braise or slow roast at around 150°C for about 3.5 to 4.5 hours, using stock, red wine or beer. Keep them covered or wrapped for part of the cooking time so moisture is retained. Once done, allow them to rest briefly before serving so the juices settle.
A Bone-In Beef Short Rib cut of roughly 2.4 kg serves about 6-10 people, depending on appetite and side dishes. For smaller groups you can order fewer ribs, or share with generous sides. Owton’s large rib portions make them excellent for feeding families or for seasonal gatherings.
Owton’s beef ribs are delivered chilled, often in insulated packaging. Local deliveries use refrigerated vans; wider-area orders are shipped via trusted courier services. For orders over certain minimum spend values, free delivery may apply. Next day delivery is often available depending on location.
