Click Here To View The DealsCutting frozen meat can be done safely with a sharp, heavy-duty knife or meat saw, but it’s generally best to partially defrost the meat in the fridge until the outer layer softens. This reduces the risk of slipping and helps you achieve cleaner cuts. Always use a non-slip cutting board and avoid applying excessive force, which could damage both the meat and your tools. For even portioning, consider slicing while the meat is still firm but not fully frozen solid.
The majority of our frozen meat products are supplied raw, ready for you to cook at home. This allows you full flexibility over how the meat is prepared and seasoned. We may offer a few pre-cooked or ready-to-heat frozen items on a seasonal basis, but these are clearly labelled to avoid confusion. Always check the product description or packaging for specific handling and cooking instructions.
Frozen meat can typically be stored safely for up to 6–12 months at home if kept at a constant temperature of -18°C or lower. While it remains safe to eat beyond that timeframe, quality may gradually decline in terms of flavour and texture. To maintain peak quality, always freeze meat before the use-by date and use airtight packaging to prevent freezer burn. Labelling your items with the freezing date can also help with meal planning and food rotation.
Refreezing meat that has been thawed is only safe if the meat was defrosted in the fridge and has not reached room temperature. However, this can affect texture and moisture levels, so it’s best avoided unless absolutely necessary. If you’ve already cooked the defrosted meat, you can safely freeze it again once cooled. Always use your best judgment and follow food safety guidelines to avoid the risk of bacteria growth.
